In the course of a reliable all-day services, two schools in the Main-Kinzig-District have so far expanded their range of offers to include the student club.
The afternoon offer in which students can dial into at “Stadtschule Schlüchtern” is being implemented in cooperation with “Projekt PETRA” and has been offering structured care to students grades 5 – 7 on five days a week since the beginning of the school year 2015/2016. The opening times are between 12.00 p.m. and 15.30 p.m.
According to the “Stadtschule Schlüchtern” motto “feel good and achieve your goals”, homework is done together first and various leisure activities are pursued after the learning period. The aim is to not only the school-based work behavior but also the social skills of the students and to provide suggestions for meaningful leisure activities.
Between 12.00 p. m. and 13.00 p. m. the student club is open to students that are interested and is intensively used by students with migration background.
In order to promote and use the school opportunities and resources of the children and young people in the best possible way, the teachers, SEN-teachers, school pedagogues, school social work and pedagogue specialists of the student club “PETRA” are in close contact.
