Residential care unit “Haus PETRA” is existing since 1976 and offers a home to 22 children and adolescents from 6 years of age and older, if they cannot stay in their families due to several burdens.
Clear structures in everyday life and diverse forms of action and experience in the leisure sector promote social skills and the personal development of children and adolescents.
In addition to educational support the diverse tasks also include diagnostic-therapeutic tasks and post-school support and are carried out by a multi-professional team of 14 employees consisting of psychologists and pedagogues from different disciplines.
Since the aim of the help is always to bring the children back into their families, the work takes place in close cooperation with the parents.
